The Hawkesbury

The Hawkesbury was our next stop and the weather was slowly improving. Having only recently read Kate Grenville’s A Secret River, this whole area took on a significant meaning. Roads wind their way up and through dense forests, over creeks and rivers leading to the most amazing quaint towns. Ferry services provide 24/7 crossings, enabling people to live and commute on either side of this vast and extensive river.
