South West Coast
The unkind weather did not stop us from exploring the south western coast of Western Australia. It was windy, rainy and on a few days we had sunshine. Felt like being home in Melbourne. Have to say that when the temperature reaches 22 degrees here it’s actually quite warm. So much so that I dipped my toes in the water and realised I was touching the Southern Ocean. It was chilly though not quite as cold as some of the swimming holes in the gorges up north. The beauty of this place is indescribable. The rich palette of the ocean is extraordinary. Deep indigo when you look out to sea and as the eyes move closer to shore it gradually blends into a vivid royal blue to different shades of emerald green before it touches the fine white powdery sand which is like talcum powder to touch.
I think the pics speak for themselves.
