Point Plomer

School holidays and Easter and we are at Point Plomer along with everyone north or south of Port Macquarie. Fortunately, we arrived the day before school holidays commenced and picked a site that provides us with relative solitude, compared to the other areas in the campground. I’ve never seen anything like it. Families just keep arriving and setting up wherever there’s a clear patch of grass. This is a surfing beach especially for young kids.

Kids on long boards, catching a wave and slowly riding it all the way into shore. All day every day!

On most days, we’ve had a sprinkle of rain, sometimes several times in the day. Occasionally we’ve also copped a five minute downpour. It seems to be the pattern here, however once the clouds move on, out comes the blistering sun and a cool swim at the beach is beckoning.
