Bitter Springs- NT
Our daily driving and overnight stops came to halt when we arrived at Bitter Springs. We couldn’t have picked a better spot to mark the point in our trip when our pace would change entirely. We stayed at Bitter Springs Cabins and Camping. They don’t take bookings, and it’s first in, best dressed so arriving early we were fortunate to get the last riverside unpowered site. It was perfect.
A five minute walk from our site is the popular Bitter Springs Hot Pool. The constant road travel and all of the diversions of the past two weeks were washed away as we swam and floated along this natural waterhole; 30℃ crystal clear water surrounded by tropical plants and birds calling from the trees. It was the therapy we both needed.
