Seriously if there’s one app you need for your road trip. this is it! I have used it to plan camping and caravanning holidays. The information is current, useful and  informative. Again easy peasy to use.

This device was recommended by someone we met who does a lot of road travel and it has proved its worth. It connects to your vehicle and monitors the vital systems of your engine in real time. We use it mainly to ensure the engine is running at its optimum. It enables us to adjust our driving so that the engine is not under any duress. We also use it monitor the amount of fuel we are consuming thereby adjusting the speed and the gears accordingly. We can check water temperature, trip fuel cost, intake air temperature, engine loading, ignition timing and horsepower. It is capable of much more and we are slowly learning how to use it to its full potential. It costs around $200 and so far it’s money well spent. More information available on the Scan Gauge website
